Kia ora on November the 9th we had Pet Day and we did some vaseline saucers.  We had to make a pattern with flower petals and you get prizes for the best. This is my flower plate I did.

Kia ora, for the week we have been talking about doing venn diagram's about comparing Christmas.  We made one. We could pick a country and I picked NewZealand and Sweden. This is my venn diagram that I did and I hope you like it.

I am writing 3 thing that we can take away environmental means rubbish all over our schools and land and it is making our world sick so this is three thing I wrote to help out. One thing that we can do is every day at school we can go out and pick up rubbish .for about ten minutes. And that will probably pick up over One hundred rubbish a day. second thing that you could do is to have rubbish bins around our schools for lunch rubbish. When people will just be too lazy to walk to their bay so they would just sneak it behind a tree or in a bush and that will just make more rubbish around our schools. Thirdly we could start eating inside so that after we are done it will be easy for us to see the rubbish. And that will make no more rubbish outside in our wonderland. So come on people stop throwing rubbish on the your just making our world sick and please agree to my three things to do with our school.

Adventure story

my name is Mosese and my class has been working on our Adventure story for the past few weeks.

Smoosh, smoosh went my feet as I ran through a puddle bare footed. I set up my tent beside bumpy rocks. I couldn't feel my feet. They were like ice blocks in a freezer. I hopped into my tent to rub my feet dry. Then I started to hear someone scratching on soaking-wet bark. I looked out my tent and saw a creepy, wrinkly old man. He was muttering, “Ooga Booga man is coming!”  Then he disappeared into nowhere.

I jumped back into my  tent but then I started getting goosebumps. Then I started hearing more footsteps. They were getting closer and closer. Could it be the Ooga Booga man for real?. I got my pocket knife out. I could feel sweat dripping down my face. Then sharp claws started to rip my tent open ……..and then

We have been working on our speeches for the last couple of weeks. We had to make them between 2 and 3 minutes.
I chose the topic illegal drugs and I had to write an argument giving reasons why they are bad for you.

Introduction/Belief statement: Have you ever taken illegal drugs? There are many illegal drugs that are being abused by our society today. Drugs such as marijuana, and  cocaine and much more. Illegal drugs are a massive problem world wide leading to mental illness, poverty and even death. I believe that illegal drug use needs to stop. I want you to understand my reasons that follow.

Reason 1: Firstly, illegal drugs are everywhere now and are causing lots of problems in our communities. Drugs affect user’s families and could harm their kids. If somebody's having a baby and she's smoking and doing drugs the baby might die. People even start stealing money from their families because they will use that money to buy drugs. Do you remember how awful you felt the last time your kid got sick? How much worse would you feel if your child got sick because of your stupid drug habit.

Reason 2: You could end up homeless because your family kicked you out and you do not want to be out on the streets all alone. You will have nowhere to live and you will have to eat out of the rubbish bins and you would not like that. Where would you live? You won’t be allowed to sleep in a nice warm bed instead you will be living in a dog house.

Reason 3: It is likely that if you use illegal drugs you will eventually die. Drugs cause 32 deaths each year in NZ. You would not want that to happen to anyone you care about, would you?. Some drugs can even kill you instantly and you don’t even know what’s in them.

Conclusion: So I’m sure  you will absolutely agree with me that illegal drugs are bad. If no one on our planet took illegal drugs, everyone’s children would grow up healthy and safe, we’d all live in nice, comfy homes and no one’s life will get wasted by dying young.  STOP! Don’t use illegal drugs. We want a safe and happy community and no one wants to be homeless and nobody wants to be dead. Grow up and have a good life!

Learning how to write reports about a scientific experiment.

We are having a science fair this term so we needed to learn how to write a report about a scientific experiment. Our teachers chopped a piece of scientific writing into bits and we had to sort them out into the right order. We had to match the structure clues with the correct sentences and paragraphs. It was tricky. When we were finished we used the report to carry out a floating and sinking experiment using Blutack.The Blutack wouldn’t float unless we squeezed  it into the shape of a boat. It was fun. Here is a picture.

*Kaboosh!* He has crashed! Without a helmet! His head is bleeding badly! Hi my name is Mosese  today I am going to talk about helmets and why they are good to have them on your  head.   

Firstly, you need a helmet because you can get hurt if you fall off bikes, rollerskates or skateboards.

And if you are doing tricks you can get hurt bad if the bike lands on your head and it’s not good on concrete. 900 people die each year on bicycles. 75% of accidents are from head injuries.

Secondly, it can save your life on a motorbike when you crash because motorbikes are faster, so crashes can be more dangerous. And the engines can explode. It reduces the risk of head injuries.  Wearing a helmet while participating in activities like bicycle riding or motorcycle riding can drastically lessen the chance of suffering a serious brain injury.... Bike helmets and motorcycle helmets can prevent life changing head injuries.

   

Finally, you should wear helmets on a quad bikes on the farm. Cause the bike can land on your head and kill you. In 2016 there were

over 343 people killed by farm bikes in New Zealand.

SO that’s why everybody should wear a helmet when you are riding bikes, motorbikes and farm bikes. Helmets protect your head from getting hurt if you fall off. Head injuries can lead to brain damage so protect your head!

Rambo
